Oct-2022, Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, India: Despite support from people across India, countless signatures and cries for help and interviews with media channels, Ariha's parent's requests were never heard. They reached Delhi, India.
The entire timeline of events in Delhi during this period can be seen on the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SaveAriha
Jantar Mantar, known for its protests aimed towards a better India, became home for Ariha's parents for a few days as they organized a couple of demonstrations to awaken the officers/ offices that could help them make Germany return baby Ariha. Supporters from the Hindu community in Delhi, social workers and child rights activists joined the movement.
Shri Vijay Jolly ji, a Former member of the legislative assembly of India from New Delhi, stood with the parents in solidarity & sought justice to bring Ariha back to India.
Smt. Arti Mehra, two times Mayor of Delhi municipal corporation, also registered her support to bring Ariha back to India.
Why can nothing move without the Indian government's intervention?
Joining Ariha's parents was Sagarika Bhattacharya, mother of Abhigyan and Aishwarya, who were taken away by Norwegian Child services in 2013, quoting the parents as irresponsible. This news story was covered in media by popular new media channels, which caught the attention of the Indian government. The officers intervened and worked with the Norwegian government to bring the children back to India.
